A Tribute to my Physical Education Teacher
Hi, they say time and tide waits for no man and this has absolutely happened in my case. This post is about my Physical Education Teacher Mr.Eden whose guidance on health and fitness has always motivated me to stay healthy. He was very committed to his profession and he believed in discipline and hard work. Like every other teacher, he was impressed by his students doing well in his subject i.e. in physical education. He did not like if a teacher tried to substitute his class with other subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, or biology. He never would allow it, as he always believed in the saying "health is wealth". In school, it was compulsory to attend the Physical Training classes. The first 10 minutes were allotted for stretching and then the rest 35 minutes were allotted to indoor/outdoor games like table tennis or football. There were days when he would divide the students into groups. Some students were asked to practice high jump, some were put in the long jump group and the rest landed up in the running or marathon group. All the students had good training and I am really really lucky to have had this kind of training during my school days, rigorous but excellent. Many of my friends in other schools were less fortunate as they had Physical Training in their school but it was never given importance.
I dedicate this issue to my Physical Training
Teacher Mr. Eden, a soul who always wanted his students to do well in the area
of sports. He passed away a few days back. I never imagined that I would lose
him so soon, he was healthy and active. As long as he was alive, I never had
the time to meet him. I was so busy with everything in my life when suddenly
this happened and life struck me hard. I came to know that Mr. Eden passed away
in his native. I was shocked. I tried desperately to see if I could reach his
native and see him one last time but all this lockdown… Oh! I couldn't arrange
for the e-pass or the road travel. I just couldn't do anything. I felt so
helpless. When he lived near my house I did not have the "Time" to
meet him and when I was ready to travel 700 km to see him one last time, "Time"
did not wait for me. It was a very sad moment for me.
In this special post, I write about how our
brain can predict or sense adverse situations beforehand. I came to know through my friends that Mr. Eden somehow knew about his death. Mr. Eden knew that he will be leaving this
world very soon. He could see his death and he had started talking about his
death before anyone could imagine. He was a Physical Education Teacher and so
he made sure that he took care of his health. It was strange and surprising
that a person who is healthy and active all the time starts speaking about his
death. Naturally, no one believed him until death took over Mr. Eden.
So how did Eden Sir know that he might leave
this world in the next few months? Probably he could not see the exact date and
time but there was something he knew and was sure that it will happen soon. How
was his brain able to perceive death so early? Is this called precognition?
Precognition is the ability of our brain to
receive non-inferential information from a future point in space-time. It has
been reported that signals from the future are acquired and processed by our
brain. Signals from the future, interesting? And how does this happen? It is
presumed that information signals in the form of photons are carried by an
Electromagnetic carrier. The photons travel at the speed of light and hit the
retina. At the retina, the electromagnetic energy is converted into
electrochemical signals and is then processed by our brain. Click the link Rethinking
Extrasensory Perception: Toward a Multiphasic Model of Precognition, Marah
& May, 2015 to read more on this research. So does this mean
that Eden Sir could have received signals about his death in advance from some
future source? How I wish after receiving this information, he could have
averted his death. How I wish we (all his students) could have done something
to prevent him from going away to a different world. It is very difficult to
accept that he will not be with us anymore. All I can do now is pray for his
soul to rest in peace.
There have been theories that our brain based
on past memories can predict the future (Ref: How the brain predicts the future 2016). But can our brain travel in
time and see things ahead? Or as reported in some studies, does our future send
us signals of an upcoming catastrophic event?
Is it true that we receive signals from our future and so have some
indication that a good or a bad incident is going to happen? Time to think and
see if disturbing events can be predicted and avoided.
As I write this issue I have realized that life
can be so unpredictable and how time can just slip away from our hands. My
sincere advice to you is please take time and meet those people whom you have always wanted to meet. Time doesn't wait for anyone. School teachers play a very important
role in our lives. They make our fundamentals strong and help us set our core
values. Whatever good I have done and whatever I have achieved or will achieve
I dedicate all that to my school teachers. And this issue specifically is a
tribute to Eden Sir. Eden Sir, you will always be remembered fondly and you
will live in me and in your countess students forever. Thank you very much, Sir.
Meet you in the next issue, bye for now. Take care.
